Meet and greet by PutaO Trekking House’s representative upon arrival at Putao airport and transferred to hotel, which lies in a shady park. Putao lies in a flat valley, jumping-off point for trekkers who want to explore the region’s deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries and snow-capped mountains etc. Putao town and fort was built during 1914-1915 by Commissioner Mr. Hertz along with Fort which later known as Fort Hertz. Later a Missionary basing the Rawan and Lisu tribe as initial and introduce Grapefruit, Washington Naval, Vlincha Orange Ruby Oranges, King Orange and King Mandarin plus America Lime were introduced. After a brief fresh at the hotel, take evening walk around Putao for the orientation. Overnight in Putao.

After breakfast, depart by coach trough the vast Putao plain to Htawadum (14km, approx. one hour). Here we visit the famous Kaungmulone Pagoda, said to be one of the 84,000 pagodas built by Thiri Dhamma thawka, the great king. From here, we we continue to Namkham village and observe the beautiful 7-tiered waterfall. Then continue to Machanbaw, a charming administrative town which is beautifully set up in colonial style. We visit in and around town and continue driving to Naung Khaing to take a boat to the beautiful Fairly Island. After this continue to Mulashidi, which is famous for a suspension bridge across Mula River and enjoy beautiful surrounding often back drop with snow-capped mountains in distance. Then drive back to Putao and dinner and overnight at PutaO Trekking House.

After early breakfast, we head off to the trek head by a coach. We make some interaction with the locals along the way. This is a good day-return trek who wish to admire the nature. Later, we all meet at back the starting point and hop on awaiting vehicles to get back to Putao. Overnight in Putao.

Early morning visit Putao Market for a last-minute shopping and breakfast back at the hotel. Free and easy stay at the hotel unitl departure time. Then transfer to the airport to end this unique experience.

  • Putao: Situate 457 meters above sea level, lies in a flat valley, famous as a jumping-off point for trekkers who want to explore the region’s deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries and snow-capped mountains. 
  • Kaungmulon: Said to be one of the 84000 pagodas built by Thiri Dhamma Thawka, the great king. 
  • Machanbaw: Located across Malikha River, connected by beautiful Malikha suspension bridge. 
  • Mulashidi: Meaning in Lisu “the village stands in the thatch field along Mula River.” Beautifully set up Lisu village lies 14 km south of Putao connected by 159 meters long suspension bridge and provides a fascinating view to the mountains as a backdrop.
