Monywa Tour

After breakfast at hotel, head to Monywa (132 km – approximate 3 hours). Visit Thanboddhay Pagoda, it is an amazing and unique pagoda with very impressive architecture. There are very interesting of thousands of Buddha Images are in the cave. Next, visit Bodhi Tataung (1000 Banyan trees Pagoda) where you can see the two enormous Buddha statues – the one reclining is about 333-foot-long, and the other stands at a record height of 424 feet. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, continue drive to Pho Win cave temples, locates on the west bank of Chindwin River and 25 kilometers west of Monywa and explore to fascinating Pho Win Hills. Thousands of man-made meditation caves will have amazed you. Some with special murals paintings. A covered stairway climbs a hill to the main cave shrine. But there are large and small caves in the area filled with old Buddha images. There are over 40,000 images in these other nearby caves. Return back to Mandalay and transfer to your hotel.
